526 Granville Street

This is an ambitious pre-proposal to add an office tower over an existing 1899 building. The tiny lot is only about 6,000 square feet in size, and would have a 24 storey office project designed by Perkins + Will with a small retail unit on the main floor.

Currently home to Moore’s clothing, the building was occupied by a bank for many years, and developed by Leckie Brothers who manufactured and sold waterproof clothing and boots.

The building has a lattice framework around the edge to limit internal columns, and a clear skin of glazing over the north face.  A rezoning application is likely to be submitted soon with a public hearing with city council likely at some point in 2021.
